Promote and maintain a world-class safety culture across wind farm projects, leading daily HSE onsite: toolbox talks (TBTs), site walks, HSE tours over foundations, erection, commissioning, and service areas (inside wind turbines).
Prepare and manage HSE documentation, including HSE Plans, Risk Assessments, Method Statements (RAMS/IBWR), PTW coordination for critical tasks (working at height, cranes, electrical isolation, hot work, confined spaces), and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
Ensure incident/near-miss reporting, investigation, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective/preventive actions (CAPA); communicate lessons learned team-wide.
Ensure the availability/Readiness of PPE, firefighting equipment, and first aid kits (incl. AEDs); perform daily HSE inspections, audits, and housekeeping checks, and support internal/external audits.
Actively participate in Toolbox Talks and support supervisors in daily safety communication; attend weekly HSE meetings with clients.
Ensure compliance with client requirements, ISO 45001/14001, DGUV regulations (e.g. DGUV Rule 101-038), local laws, and environmental standards; review/approve risk assessments and HSE docs.
Interpret local regulations/technical docs; support development of safe/efficient work methods; coach teams, deliver HSE briefings/trainings (heights, lifting, emergency response).
Our requirements
Minimum B1 level English (working proficiency).
Minimum 2+ years HSE experience as an Officer on construction/industrial projects (wind farms, oil & gas, heavy industry); 3+ years preferred.
Formal HSE qualification (e.g. Postgraduate Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, NEBOSH, SiGeKo, FASI/Safety Officer).
Valid Category B driving license; readiness for 100% onsite presence in variable weather/remote German locations (e.g. Schleswig-Holstein, North Sea); site travel possible.
Strong interpersonal skills to engage/influence teams; proactive attitude and commitment to continuous safety improvement.
GWO Basic Safety Training (Working at Heights, First Aid, Manual Handling, Fire Awareness).
NEBOSH Certificate/Diploma (required for Pre-Assembly/Offshore); ISO 45001:2018 knowledge/internal/lead auditor cert.
Wind energy sector experience; VDSI rules/PTW/risk/lifting/emergency mgmt knowledge.
