About the company
For our client – a global manufacturing organization operating in the pharmaceutical sector and further developing its Shared Services Center in Warsaw – we are looking for an experienced finance professional to take ownership of the Accounts Payable stream. The role is embedded in an international environment, with accounting operations delivered by an external service provider (BPO) and close cooperation with global and local stakeholders.

Scope of responsibilities:

The role focuses on end-to-end ownership, governance and coordination of the AP process rather than day-to-day transactional execution
Act as a process owner for the Accounts Payable stream across multiple legal entities
Oversee and coordinate AP activities delivered by external service providers (BPO)
Ensure process quality, compliance and consistency in line with internal policies and accounting standards
Monitor KPIs, identify operational risks and drive corrective and preventive actions
Act as the main point of contact for AP-related topics for internal stakeholders and external partners
Oversee month-end closing activities from an AP perspective, ensuring timely and accurate delivery
Drive standardization, harmonization and continuous improvement initiatives within AP
Resolve escalations and complex issues at process level, ensuring root cause analysis and sustainable solutions
Support audits, transitions and system or process changes impacting the AP stream
Cooperate closely with other finance streams to ensure end-to-end process alignment

Requirements:

Strong experience in Accounts Payable / Procure to Pay processes, preferably within SSC/GBS structures
Experience in process ownership, governance or coordination roles (not only operational execution)
Proven experience in working with BPO or outsourced finance processes
Very good understanding of AP process flows, controls and KPIs
Practical knowledge of SAP
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Ability to work in a complex, international environment
Fluent English
