As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, optimization, and maintenance of our MongoDB and Cassandra database environments. You will play a critical role in ensuring the performance, scalability, security, and reliability of our data infrastructure, working in the DevOps team.
responsibilities :
install, configure, and maintain MongoDB and Cassandra database instances across multiple environments (development, testing, production)
optimize database performance by tuning queries, indexing strategies, memory and disk configurations, and cluster settings
implement backup and recovery strategies to safeguard data integrity and ensure business continuity
manage security settings, including authentication, authorization, encryption, and network security configurations
drive architecture and deliver customer solutions on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform with a special focus on AWS capabilities with experience in virtualisation, migrations and automation
automate routine tasks, deployment processes, and infrastructure management using scripting languages and automation tools
document database configurations, procedures, and best practices, and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required
participate in 24/7 on-call rotation
requirements-expected :
min. 5 years of professional experience in a similar role is required
good knowledge of our databases: MongoDB/Cassandra
experience with Kubernetes running in cloud environments such as AWS
ability to demonstrate expertise in Security Operations
good understanding of Linux/Unix operating system
networking experience: load balancing, network security, standard network protocols
exposure to a DevOps with a background in Server Operations or Systems Administration
experience in working with REST and RPC APIs
an autonomous / self-managed work style
strong communication and collaboration skills, with a good understanding of English, both verbal and written
team player with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment
