This role is responsible for helping the Procurement functions make better, data-driven decisions and drive mission critical business outcomes through unlocking business value from data. This is typically through building visualisations, insights, self-service analytics and high quality reusable data assets.
The goal of our 2024 program is to improve Global Procurement’s data analytics capability and maximise value creation from HSBC’s supply chain data. The program is a success when:
1.Modernising Procurement’s data & analytics platforms: extending our Data Management Platform (Google Cloud) and the associated data products
2.Deliver Next Generation Insights: enabling data-driven decision making through both brand new and improved insights across Global Procurement domains
3.Enable Supplier Mastering & Normalisation: support suppler master data project and method.
responsibilities :
Engaging our stakeholders to help capture & refine requirements, ideate, design & deliver Analytics & BI use cases, followed by transitioning to BAU & delivering ongoing product enhancements
Developing data structures and pipelines to organize, collect, cleanse, and standardising data in order to generate actionable insights and address reporting needs
Designing and deploying cutting edge QlikSense dashboards that really wow our customers in terms of visual appeal, ease of use and understanding
Providing complex business intelligence solutions involving SQL, Python, Alteryx, Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technologies e.g. Big Query
Identifying innovative and creative opportunities to develop data insights and maximize data usage to develop new strategies and improve business performance
Ensuring all dashboards and data assets are thoroughly tested and validated per industry best practice before being released
Upskilling on an ongoing basis to also venture into Advanced Analytics and be familiar with data science languages like Python and R
Building out strong, trusted relationships with our +1 stakeholders
requirements-expected :
A university degree in Computer Science, Data Analysis or similar education and a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience delivering data products using Agile with clearly demonstrable business outcomes
Exceptional analytical skills with a strong understanding of the power and value of data with an ability to apply technology solutions to meet business needs and solve problems
Ability to assess stakeholder needs to improve customer experience, show resilience under pressure and provide best in class solutions
Delivery-focused, with ability to meet agreed deadlines and delivery high quality output
Expertise and experience in data visualization with advanced QlikSense/Tableau/Power BI skills, strong knowledge of SQL, experience with Python a plus
Familiarity with Data Science concepts and subjects and an interest in up-skilling in the future
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and comfortable working with senior management; ability to articulate data concepts, problem statements and solutions to non-technical stakeholders
Self-starter demonstrating high energy levels, flexibility, enthusiasm and willingness to learn
