• We are looking for a Software Engineering Manager who wants to lead outstanding engineering teams towards successful, transparent and predictable delivery of bespoke software within the insurtech domain

• Lead the team towards successful project delivery by connecting the business and tech worlds
• Be a role model and a servant leader for the team with an org-wide perspective
• Manage projects, get the high-level forecasts right, build a solid plan and remove roadblocks on the way
• Manage and nurture good relationships with key stakeholders and act as a strong partner that ensures business needs are met
• Collaborate with client’s Delivery Managers on business priorities negotiation and high-level project planning
• Identify, communicate and mitigate project risks, navigate ambiguity and set a clear vision
• Create outstanding and meaningful delivery reports
• Facilitate effective meetings and cultivate continuous improvement in the team
• Capture meaningful team metrics that help the team maintain high throughput, optimise internal processes, and make data-driven decisions
• Lead the team and help team members grow both professionally and personally
• Manage Team Leaders by actively supporting and coaching them

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role
• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in a software engineering team
• Experience managing senior/staff software engineers
• Very well organised and have excellent communication and team skills
• Have a track record in large-scale projects that span across multiple teams and localizations
• Passionate about nurturing relationships, growing people and leading towards success
• Experience in lean methodologies
• A track record of successful project delivery
• A Kaizen mindset and believe continuous improvement is not a job but a habit
• Present excellent stakeholder management skills and a track record of successful collaboration with senior managers, including status, roadmap and long-term strategy presentations
• Understand the modern approach to software engineering (you should be familiar with concepts like continuous delivery, domain-driven design, Event storming, event-driven architecture, but do not have to be an expert)
• Value-based leadership is not a slogan for you, but a practical way of working
• Excellent English skills, both written and spoken (C1+)
