Air Liquide Engineering & Construction builds the Group’s production units (mainly air gas separation and hydrogen production units) and provides external customers with efficient, sustainable, customized technology and process solutions. We cover the entire project life-cycle: license engineering services / proprietary equipment, high-end engineering & design capabilities, project management & execution services. How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

As a Project Control Manager for EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects, you will play a critical role in ensuring effective project management and control throughout all project phases. You will be responsible for overseeing the planning, monitoring, and reporting of project progress, costs, and risks. Your expertise in project control methodologies and tools will contribute to the successful execution of complex projects, adherence to schedules, and achievement of financial objectives. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Project Planning and Scheduling:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using appropriate scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6).

  • Collaborate with project teams to establish realistic project milestones, activities, and deliverables.

  • Monitor project progress and update schedules as needed to ensure adherence to timelines.

Cost Control and Budget Management:

  • Implement cost control processes to track project expenditures, analyze budget variances, and identify cost-saving opportunities.

  • Coordinate with finance and procurement teams to ensure accurate cost forecasting, cost accruals, and financial reporting.

  • Conduct regular cost reviews and provide recommendations to optimize project budget allocation.

Risk Management:

  • Identify project risks and develop risk mitigation strategies to minimize potential impacts on project objectives.

  • Maintain risk registers, monitor risk exposure, and escalate critical risks to project stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with project teams to implement risk response plans and ensure timely resolution of issues.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Establish performance measurement metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) for project monitoring.

  • Generate regular progress reports, dashboards, and executive summaries to communicate project status, risks, and key milestones.

  • Analyze project data and trends to identify areas of improvement and provide actionable insights for decision-making.

Change Control and Contract Management:

  • Manage change control processes to assess the impact of scope changes, contract modifications into the schedule revisions.

  • Collaborate with legal and contract management teams to review and negotiate contractual terms and conditions with subcontractors and vendors as per dates required in the project..

  • Ensure compliance of the dates as per contract requirements, including deliverables, payments, and performance metrics.

  • Support to the Contract Management department in the preparation of analysis of schedules delay for Acceleration plans or Extension of times in the project. 

Team Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Lead and manage a team of project control professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.

  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing.

  • Build effective relationships with project managers, engineers, procurement specialists, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution.

Are you a MATCH?

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in project control management within EPC projects, preferably in complex engineering and construction environments.

  • Proficient in project control methodologies, tools, and software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).

  • Strong knowledge of project management principles and practices.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Solid understanding of cost control, budgeting, and financial analysis.

  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and manage stakeholders expectations.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Leadership abilities to inspire and motivate team members.

  • Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or PMI-SP (Scheduling Professional) are a plus.
