• We are looking for an experienced Principal Architect to join our Architecture Squad, working out of a regional R&D hub in Poland. Together with your squad, you will provide technical leadership and innovation for our flagship multitenant enterprise SaaS platform, OrbusINFINITY. This will involve communicating a shared technical and architectural vision, helping to nurture and guide squads to navigate and understand new technology choices.
• Our SaaS platform runs natively in Microsoft Azure, across a tech stack utilizing C# .Net 6, React, Typescript, CosmosDB, SQL, Containers and Kubernetes. This uses a Micro-frontend and Microservice architecture, continuously deployed to a multiregional highly available infrastructure. Public REST APIs make our platform the hub for numerous integrations to external services and applications.
• As the Principal Architect we need you to own, manage and guard the architectural standards. You will be engaging with Product Managers, UX and engineers from various Tribes early in the problem discovery phases of product development, to provide input on potential solutions, their feasibility, and their architectural design. This involves understanding the business problems and guiding teams with researching technologies to provide a best-in-class solution to customers. Additionally, you will be involved in ongoing R&D and proof of concept work, investigating new technologies and integrations that could enhance our application and solve problems in better and more competitive means. For that, we need you to get your hands dirty with coding frequently, not only on your own, but also regularly helping teams with more advanced problems or considerations. It is essential that the right candidate for this role can independently assess a wide range of technical options for a given problem and apply the appropriate amount of time to each in order to articulate feasible solutions and the reasoning behind them.

• Adhering to existing coding standards and practices, and working with other technical leads to continuously improve these
• Guiding technical solutions in line with the wider application architecture
• Ensuring architectural decisions are well documented
• Overseeing the whole code base and helping developers with code design to keep it in shape
• Working with an existing monolith migrating to microservices.
• Developing reusable platform enablers for core capabilities
• Researching optimisations and technologies that can further the platform and empower squads
• Owning the architect’s backlog and managing the priority
• Participate in the architecture vision and technical strategy
• Working with C#, .Net Core in an Azure Microservice environment
• Maintaining a culture of high-quality code and best practice
• Evangelising developers by leading presentations, driving workshops and facilitating understanding of architectural concepts / new tech.
• Sharing your expertise and findings with your squad and other tribes through discussions, working alongside them and documentation. The key here is to overcommunicate with development teams.
• Collaborating with key technology partners to maximize the value of their tools and components

• Significant .NET experience for enterprise (8 years minimum)
• Experience designing a micro service architecture using DDD principles.
• Experience developing large scale enterprise cloud products (4 years minimum, preferably Microsoft Azure)
• Azure native technologies (i.e. App Services, Functions etc.)
• Strong experience with R&D/Proof of Concept (POC) assignments, and the articulation of the results back to peers
• Experience of documenting standards and then supervising / ensuring teams adhere to them
• Integration and Unit Test experience supporting regular production releases
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and S.O.L.I.D principles
• Experience of mentoring and guiding multi-discipline engineers on technology best practices utilizing excellent people skill to get everyone pulling in the same direction
• Strong communication skills, including ability to convert technical concept to non-technical people with ease.
• Strong technical leadership skills, open to the opinion of others but will lead the way forward easily articulating the justification of decisions made.
• Proactivity, the individual should have enough experience to do this role with little to no guidance and proactively delivers.
• Hands on experience with operations, will raise potential difficulties and risks, can think through the execution of proposed solutions in real terms.
