Global Supplier Quality Manager

Your responsibilities

• Direct support to the overall quality strategy, plans, and controls all quality activities through a thorough knowledge of international, national and corporate compliance requirements.
• Monitors and maintains quality performance metrics, supplier performance metrics, and warranty recovery to meet established goals.
• Contributes to the development and implementation of overall global supplier quality strategy and is responsible for all performance expectations.
• Supports deployed global supplier quality team to develop tools, practices, and processes for best practice utilization while mitigating risk to the business.
• Remains independent of all other functions whilst retaining confidence and respect of all parts of the business without influence by outside considerations conflicting with department requirements and strategic vision.
• Works with supplier quality teams to ensure process controls are in place and effective to control the process to the level of capability planned.
• Transparent accountability for all quality department functions and responsibilities.

Our requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Bachelor Degree required
• Formal QMS training, leadership, education and experience in an ISO-9001 certified manufacturing environment required, IATF16949, AS9100D, ISO13485 preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in control plan development, corrective actions, procedure development, warranty recovery and process control.
• Multi-facility management, management of large supply base, automotive tools and expectations preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office products.
• 7 to 10+ years in Quality Assurance or related function in manufacturing or related industry.
• 3+ years managing direct reports.
• Ability to travel 25 - 40% both nationally and internationally.

Reporting to the Director of Global Quality, this position has responsibility for the strategic planning and development of the global supplier quality team, warranty cost recovery, supplier quality metric performance, and support to all corporate guidance systems. This position will work with the global and regional teams with standardized alignment to meet or exceed global performance expectations.
