responsibilities :


  • Analyse the organisations IT portfolio to assess performance, risks, and opportunities for optimisation.
  • Develop and maintain portfolio management processes, including project selection criteria, prioritisation methods, and performance
  • metrics.
  • Collaborate with business units and IT teams to align portfolio initiatives with strategic objectives and business priorities.
  • Monitor project progress and resource utilisation to identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting portfolio performance, key insights, and recommendations.
  • Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to evaluate the impact of changes in resource allocation or project priorities.
  • Identify opportunities for consolidation, standardisation, and cost savings within the IT portfolio.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in IT portfolio management.

requirements-expected :


  • Proven experience in IT portfolio management, project management, or related roles.
  • Proficiency in portfolio management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar platforms.
  • Worked in a fast-paced Retail environment.
  • Experience working with global teams.
  • Proven experience using MS Excel and other tools to structure analysis and MS PowerPoint and others to present complex findings.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, analyse trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely to stakeholders at all
  • levels.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of IT governance frameworks, such as COBIT or ITIL, and experience implementing governance processes preferred.
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) or portfolio management (e.g., PfMP) is a plus.
  • Highly computer literate.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a customer focused approach.
  • Able to work both individually and as part of a team.
  • Able to prioritise, organise and deliver a complex and changing workload under pressure, independently and to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to guide and influence the development of junior colleagues through best practice in the discipline.
  • Experience of change management practices.
  • Experience of project management practices.
