 Your Mission


As a QA Data Engineer, your principal mission will be to safeguard and enhance the quality and integrity of our organizations data. You will play a pivotal role in continuously refining our data management processes and instilling a quality-focused mindset throughout the organization.


 Your Responsibilities


  • Data Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous testing on datasets to confirm their accuracy, consistency, and reliability. Your sharp eye will be instrumental in maintaining high data quality standards.
  • Data Analysis: Deploy your analytical prowess to examine data, detect patterns and trends, and uncover potential quality issues that need rectification.
  • Data Correction: Show initiative in identifying and rectifying data quality issues including, but not limited to, missing values, inconsistencies, and duplicates.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other members of the data team, fostering a harmonious work environment that upholds data quality standards.
  • Process Optimization: Employ your ingenuity to devise automated processes/tooling aimed at efficiently identifying common data quality issues.


 The Ideal Candidate


The ideal candidate will have the following competencies:

  • Testing Theory: Demonstrate a solid understanding of testing theory, applying this knowledge to ensure the highest data standards are maintained.
  • SQL Proficiency: Showcase strong SQL skills, harnessing them to ensure effective data management.
  • Experience with Datapool: Bring to the table your experience in working with datapool, making valuable contributions to our data management processes.


 Nice to Have Skills/Competencies


Familiarity with Snowflake, Looker/LookML, DBT: While not a strict requirement, familiarity with these platforms will be viewed favorably. Automation Experience: Previous experience with automation, especially in identifying data quality issues, will be a considerable advantage.
