Corporate Network Engineer III (IT Infrastructure & Automation)

WHO YOU ARE

  • BA/BS degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent degree/experience in related field
  • 3+ years in IT Operations, Technical Operations or Engineering, preferably at a fast-paced high-growth company
  • Routing expertise with protocols including BGP. ISIS and OSPF a plus
  • Switching experience, including spanning tree, standard LAN protocols, LACP, trunk, 802.1q
  • Network security operational experience, including firewalls (Palo Alto Networks is plus), SSL VPN, IPSec and PKI technology
  • Detailed understanding and operational expertise in SSL VPN, IPSec and PKI technologies (ideally Palo Alto Networks)
  • Demonstrated experience troubleshooting issues in, and improving the performance of, corporate wireless networks
  • Strong networking foundation with an understanding of TCP/IP and the OSI model
  • Proficient in IT security, able to stay focused during incidents, and skilled in organization, planning, and documentation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including contact with remote teams.
  • Proven success in independently managing projects, solving complex problems, and understanding technical requirements across all levels
  • High energy, excellent teamwork, and commitment to exceeding expectations

Preferred skills:

  • Working knowledge of Python, and config management tools like Ansible a strong plus
  • Proficiency with monitoring and alerting tools such as Splunk, Datadog, and ThousandEyes
  • Familiarity with common vendor management tools: Aruba, Arista, Cisco, Palo Alto
  • Professional level technical certifications (e.g. CCNP, PCNSE) a plus
