Requirements:

• Dipl.-Ing., bachelor’s, or master’s degree in Engineering or a similar technical field (preferred: automation, robotics, programming)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Engineering, Quality, or Operations, preferably in the automotive industry, electronics manufacturing, technologies, or automation
• Understanding of product design with the ability to challenge engineering or supplier’s technical analysis
• Training in VDA FFA and Customer Specific Requirements; knowledge of Six Sigma or other problem-solving methods is an asset
• Good knowledge of lean concepts and electronics manufacturing processes
• Strong communication skills in English; German language skills are an asset
• Proactive, eager to learn, and supportive attitude
• Good problem-solving capabilities
• Open to travel and support customer meetings
• Flexible, team-oriented, self-motivated, and energetic working style

Your role:

You will lead the Warranty Quality group at Gdańsk PML (Production Manufacturing Location) and oversee the warranty process, including the Budget Business Plan warranty.

Detailed Scope of Duties:

• Drive quality in quote and product development activities, working closely with Customer & Aptiv specialists to ensure proper quality requirements are included in quotations and warranty terms are clear; support the launch of new programs; assist design teams with root cause analysis using Core Quality tools
• Warranty Quality Engineering: collaborate with Plant Quality Managers to prioritize warranty issues, analyze warranty data, improve warranty engineer standards, secure customer approval, monitor KPIs, review warranty programs, identify trends, and implement corrective actions; manage warranty forecasts and risks, and foster relationships with customer leadership; perform warranty audits based on VDA analysis
• Customer Quality Engineering: ensure Customer Quality Engineers are trained and prepared to support warranty returns and provide rapid feedback to manufacturing sites, contributing to continuous improvement
• Other quality support tasks
