Nielsen is in the midst of a digital transformation and is looking for a VP of HR & Procure to Pay Technology who will be at the forefront. Our SAP systems for HR, Procurement and Travel platforms have a large user base that impacts all 12,000 of our employees, so if youre excited by finding the next SAP tech innovation that unlocks new ways of working for thousands of our employees across the globe, then this is your perfect launchpad.

When you join our dynamic, Enterprise IT Leadership team, you’ll help us push boundaries to achieve a best-in-class experience and work cross-functionally with other executive leadership teams and process owners. This executive will have proven ability to inspire others with a vision of the future, bring forward industry-best practices, while also mastering the intricacies that make it all a reality a Nielsen. Together we will deliver, optimize, and push the boundaries of what our SAP solution can do.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • E2E accountability for Nielsen’s HR and P2P platforms, including engineering, operations, innovation, future vision roadmap and support for SAP SuccessFactors, Payroll, Procurement, Invoicing, and Supplier & Contract Lifecycle Management Platforms (Ariba), and Travel and Expense Platforms (Concur).
  • Accountable for management and optimization; delivering stability, efficiency, scalability, and security to industry-leading capabilities.
  • Provide inspirational leadership to a global team of engineers, creating a high performance culture.
  • Challenge the status quo to accelerate business process convergence, drive efficiency and automation.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with internal stakeholders, senior executives, technology vendors, & service providers to deliver best-in-class service.
  • Champion training and educational programs to establish best practices, amplify awareness, and enhance end-user proficiency.
  • Drive excellence through data-driven metrics, evangelizing them across the organization.
Minimum Qualifications & Competencies:
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems Management, Computer Science, or Engineering.
  • SAP Certifications: SuccessFactors (EC, ECP), HCM, Ariba, or Enterprise Architect are desirable.
  • Relevant Certifications: PMP, PMI, MBA, ITIL, CAPM, FMA, Six Sigma, or Lean Six Sigma are desirable.
Required Experience:
  • Extensive experience and demonstrating a progressive career within corporate platforms and infrastructure (SAP SuccessFactors or equivalent HR/P2P ERP), executing successful large-scale transformations.
  • Hands-on, deep technical acumen of SAP SuccessFactors, Ariba & Concur or similar SaaS platforms’ architecture, processes, operations and industry best practice.
  • Extensive leadership experience with superior executive thought leadership, pacesetting and partnering skills.
  • 10+ years leadership experience managing global SAP organizations with proven experience building teams with a high performance culture.
  • Demonstrable experience successfully executing ERP transformations and implementing industry-best practices for large, enterprise multinationals.
  • Proven ability to cut through complexity to drive results by being data-driven; leveraging user testing and KPIs/performance scorecards to drive development.
  • Excellent executive communication skills, adept ability to effectively communicate across the full spectrum of executives, technical architects / engineers, partners, customers & industry experts.
  • Adept in agile methodology principles (SCRUM preferred), learning agility and a growth mindset.
