• Designs, develops, validates, and debugs software to enable Intel hardware features and to optimize for cloud, hybrid cloud, and/or on-prem deployment models.
• Understands partner software stacks and optimizes full stack software (spanning firmware, drivers, OS, middleware, SDKs, frameworks, algorithms, and applications) as required to enable cloud software.
• May include the development of reference cloud platform software and improving or enabling customer designs to obtain the greatest value from Intel products within the cloud.
• May specialize in specific technology domains including data services (ingestion, database, analytics), AI/ML, and open-source development projects.

Visual Solutions is the concept of a full SW stack for video and picture production, processing and transmitting. It is Intel HW-based capability as a response to the challenges and needs of future cloud and edge infrastructures in the audio/video domain. Visual Solutions (within NEX/NEX Software/Solution Engineering Division) is hiring in Poland.

We are searching for motivated, inspired, full of energy SW and FW developers, validation engineers, DevOps. We focus our work across the SW stacks, including low-level programming and enabling Intel visual computing HW like GPU and CPU IP (accelerators), through middleware, and library development, ending in full cloud-native orchestration SW (k8s). Mainly within Linux, but also Android and MS Windows.

Qualifications

• BSc degree in Computer Science or related disciplines
• Software development skills, preferably in C/C++ language or Go/Python
• Knowledge of validation tools, frameworks, and processes.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies (Docker / Kubernetes / OpenStack)
• Hands-on experience with Linux OS and TCP/IP networking
• Hands-on experience in using source control systems i.e. Git
• Familiarity with configuration management software i.e. Ansible will be considered a valuable asset

Responsibilities:

• Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Assure software projects quality for external releases multiple projects in Visual Solutions portfolio. Proposing validation processes and improvements. Design tests strategy, components integration approach, tests implementation as well as bug fixes verification. Close collaboration with development and Program Manager.
• Collaborating with other Intel departments to determine the best solution
• Willingness to push the technology envelope and take risks

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
