Vigilance Specialist (Nursing Background)

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle reportable and non-reportable complaints in a timely and consistent manner.
  • Ensure effective root cause analysis and proper complaint documentation.
  • Determine reportability and identify countries requiring notification.
  • Report events to Competent Authorities on time and respond to their inquiries.
  • Collaborate with SSU on drafting formal customer responses.
  • Create and verify tools supporting a consistent complaint‑handling process (ART, KIT).

Field Actions

  • Participate in field corrective actions in cooperation with manufacturing sites and service/sales units.
  • Notify regulatory authorities about field actions on time, as required.

Other Responsibilities

  • Participate in internal and external audits.
  • Lead or support improvement projects related to complaint handling and communication across teams.
  • Support DCU specialists with tasks outside the core vigilance scope when needed.
  • Coordinate and participate in group and local projects to ensure business improvements and regulatory compliance.

Skill Set / Knowledge (Nursing Background)

  • Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of patient care practices.
  • Proficient in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
  • Skilled in assessing patient outcomes and identifying potential clinical risks.
  • Understanding of hospital workflows and device use in clinical settings.
  • Strong documentation, analytical, and communication skills.

Nice to have for Vigilance

  • Ability to interpret clinical data and correlate with device performance.
  • Experience evaluating adverse events and determining reportability.
  • Ability to collaborate cross‑functionally with engineering, regulatory, and safety teams.
  • Clinical judgment to differentiate between product‑related and user‑related issues.
