About the role We are looking for a hands-on Video Systems Engineer to join our Professional Services team. This role is for someone who deeply understands video systems , enjoys solving non-standard problems, and takes full ownership of delivered solutions - from design to production. You will work on real customer projects , Proof of Concepts, and custom video solutions that go beyond standard product usage. This is not a product-only role and not a repetitive operations position . What you will be doing Your work will be split across several areas: - Customer projects (approx. 40%) o Designing and delivering custom video solutions o Working directly with customers on complex, non-standard requirements o Taking responsibility for architecture, implementation, and delivery - Proof of Concepts & feasibility analysis (approx. 15%) o Validating technical feasibility for custom video scenarios o Supporting presales with deep technical expertise o Helping customers and Sales make informed decisions - Development of internal video tools and components (approx. 20%) o Building and improving in-house video solutions used in production o Prototyping new approaches for live and VOD workflows - Maintenance, debugging, and support (approx. 25%) o Debugging complex video pipelines o Supporting high-availability, business-critical systems o Acting as a senior escalation point when needed What we expect from you (must-have) - Strong understanding of video systems - this is essential - Hands-on experience with: o MPEG-DASH and HLS o Live and VOD video workflows o Modern video production and processing systems - Experience working with tools like FFmpeg and/or GStreamer - Ability to design solutions and then implement them - Scripting skills (Python, Bash) - Willingness to work directly with customers - Strong sense of ownership - you take responsibility for your work and outcomes - Very good English communication skills Nice to have - Experience with cloud platforms (especially AWS) - Experience with AWS MediaServices - Knowledge of DRM technologies (Widevine, FairPlay, PlayReady) - Knowledge of on-premise or hybrid video environments - Familiarity with infrastructure concepts (networking, CDN, Linux) - Experience with scalable, high-availability systems - Exposure to Kubernetes or containerized environments What kind of person we are looking for - You are hands-on , not just theoretical - You are comfortable with ambiguity and non-standard problems - You take responsibility for solutions and customer relationships - You understand that Professional Services means delivery, not just ideas - You care about quality, reliability, and long-term maintainability Why join Professional Services? - You will work on non-standard, challenging video projects - You will have real impact on customer success - You will grow your expertise in video systems, cloud, and infrastructure - You will work with experienced engineers who value ownership and quality What you’ll get in return - compensation in the range of 13 200 - 18 200 PLN net B2B, - fully remote work with flexible working hours, - one full day per sprint for learning and development, - MyBenefit platform funds (that you can use to buy a MultiSport card or other cool services), - a choice to join our group health insurance, - access the wellbeing platform Mindgram that helps you stay in a good mental shape, - access to the language learning platform Tutlo, - company-wide quarterly meetings (when we head out together, sum up the quarter, have fun, and enjoy spending time as a team), - optional (bun fun!) team activities, like joint mountain trekking trips, St. Nicolas Day event for kids, board game nights, and more, - a welcoming office in the very heart of Poznań, if you prefer to work on-site.
