Vice President - Regulatory Policy Expert

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with cross functional teams to solve problems, clear communication, and extensive interaction with senior stakeholders across Finance and Risk on a regular basis.
2. Review and opine on existing and proposed regulatory policy in context of the regulatory disclosures in scope of the Finance teams.
3. Lead the process to develop regulatory interpretations and policy opinions, including clear communication of the latest external regulatory developments to customers/stakeholders.
4. Undertake line by line traceability mapping of regulatory articles to interpretations and advise implementation owners on the regulations to facilitate compliant application & reporting.
5. Ensure consistent and accurate communications to our regulators.

Requirements:

1. Good knowledge of the regulatory landscape preferably in a regulatory prudential policy function in a Bank multi-country presence.
2. Experience in general or wholesale banking.
3. Fully qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CA/CIMA) or a similar educational qualification preferred.
4. Relevant working experience in a bank, rating agency, consultancy or advisory firm is desirable.
5. Strong technical knowledge of prudential regulations is essential.
6. Technical knowledge of prudential regulations as administered by key bodies and jurisdictions, e.g. The Basel Committee (‘BCBS’), UK/PRA, EU, ECB, SRB and EBA, one more jurisdictions is desirable.
7. Technical knowledge one or more areas of prudential regulatory capital, e.g. RWAs, leverage ratio, and capital resources under the US, UK/PRA, and/or BCBS rule frameworks.
