Vice President, Anti Money Laundering/Prevention/Know Your Client Manager I
Located in Poland, Wroclaw – HYBRID. This role is part of BNY’s AML/KYC/Prevention department, responsible for risk profiling, ongoing due diligence, shareholder register maintenance, and creating and maintaining investor static data.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct ongoing evaluation of team members, establish annual performance management programs, and address skill gaps through training and mentoring.
- Interview staff for new and replacement positions, recommend internal promotions, and assign tasks to enhance career opportunities.
- Collaborate with teams across US, EMEA and APAC to ensure compliance and effective communication.
- Serve as subject matter expert on KYC/AML policies and procedures, ensuring day‑to‑day operations meet SLAs and KPIs.
- Produce reporting for senior management, including daily and monthly KPIs.
- Ensure the team operates within the defined outsource operating model.
- Formulate proposals to improve systems, procedures, and reporting; contribute to updates to monitoring policies.
- Define and document transaction monitoring deliveries, ensuring they meet expectations.
- Develop clear communication processes with stakeholders.
- Assist and conduct AML/KYC monitoring trainings.
- Identify and resolve issues collaboratively.
Qualifications
- BS or BA degree in a business‑related field (preferred).
- 5–8 years’ experience in financial services, with AML/KYC experience an advantage.
- 2–5 years of experience managing people (preferred).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage stakeholders across multiple locations.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory changes and developments in AML/KYC; willingness to be hands‑on.
- High energy, good judgment, flexibility, common sense, and insight.
- Proven ability to deliver projects on time, on budget, and with quality under tight deadlines.
- Ability to identify training needs for AML/KYC analysts.
