Join our team as a Senior VAT Expert. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely VAT reporting for multiple EMEA entities. This remote position offers flexibility, with occasional visits to our Warsaw office, and the opportunity to collaborate with cross‑functional teams across Europe.
Responsibilities
- VAT reporting for EMEA entities such as France, Switzerland, and Belgium in compliance with local tax regulations
- Preparation, review and timely submissions of VAT returns
- Preparation of VAT balance sheet reconciliations
- Understanding of P2P and OTC processes and how they impact VAT input data
- Maintenance of VAT registers
- Review of AR/AP invoices for VAT compliance
- Support responding to VAT queries from tax authorities
- Coordination of the VAT return correction process
- Tracking changes in VAT law and advising stakeholders on necessary solutions to enhance VAT processes for compliance
- Support integration of newly acquired companies into the CBRE VAT compliance process
- Support business in finance transformation activities by assessing the impact of the changes on VAT compliance and ensuring compliance after the transformation is completed
Qualifications
- VAT experience is a plus or willingness to learn
- Knowledge of EMEA VAT legislation
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, Law and/or Taxation
- Fluent English
- German / French language is a plus
- Highly proficient in Excel
- Experience in PeopleSoft, Dynamix, SAP, iScala is a plus
- Professional qualification in Tax is a plus
- Analytical thinking and attention to detail
