About this opportunity

To support the EMEA VAT team in accounting tasks connected with GL accounts reconciliations and tax postings. To support the transformation of VAT booking processes into a more robust and stable system. To develop an effective governance operating model in the accounting of taxes. Providing SAP support and expertise to other team members. The location of your office will be Wrocław. We can offer a hybrid work model (2 HO days).

In this role, you will…

1. Perform tax returns operations including preparation of journal entries, clearing, and reconciliation of GL accounts;
2. Coordinate and monitor GL balances for taxes and align with relevant parties;
3. Perform accruals, reclasses, and other tax account related activities including preparation of journal entries and reconciliations;
4. Prepare GL account reconciliations in Blackline;
5. Perform and document FX analysis, prepare and post necessary FX entries for tax accounts;
6. Support (internal/external) audit requests, working with auditors;
7. Propose and implement process improvements;
8. Prepare training documents, train and support team members on specific areas.

In this role, you’ll need …

1. 4-6 years of general accounting experience;
2. Experience with SAP systems - Big advantage;
3. Basic understanding of how Indirect Tax works;
4. English – fluent in speaking and writing;
5. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint;
6. Proficiency in general accounting under local or US GAAP standards;
7. Expertise with Blackline is a plus;
8. Problem solving and strong analytical skills.
