About this opportunity

To support the EMEA VAT team in accounting tasks related to GL accounts reconciliations and tax postings. To assist in transforming VAT booking processes into more robust and stable procedures. To develop an effective governance operating model for tax accounting. Providing SAP support and expertise to team members. The office location is Wrocław, with a hybrid work model (2 days working from home).

Responsibilities include:

1. Performing tax return operations, including journal entries, clearing, and reconciliation of GL accounts.
2. Coordinating and monitoring GL balances for taxes and liaising with relevant parties.
3. Handling accruals, reclasses, and other tax account activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
4. Preparing GL account reconciliations in Blackline.
5. Conducting FX analysis, preparing, and posting FX entries for tax accounts.
6. Supporting audit requests, working with internal and external auditors.
7. Proposing and implementing process improvements.
8. Creating training materials, and training/supporting team members on specific areas.

Requirements:

1. 4-6 years of general accounting experience.
2. Experience with SAP systems is a significant advantage.
3. Basic understanding of Indirect Tax processes.
4. Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
5. Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
6. Proficiency in accounting under local or US GAAP standards.
7. Experience with Blackline is a plus.
8. Problem-solving and analytical skills.
