Job Description:

We are currently looking for a Value & Cost Out Engineering Project Manager based in Gdansk or Ropczyce.

A professional responsible for initiating, leading & coordinating value engineering / cost out initiatives aimed at reducing costs & enhancing product quality. The ideal candidate is a dynamic and results-oriented person with a good understanding of value engineering principles and technical competencies (electronics, mechanics).

Responsibilities

In this diverse role, you will perform a variety of duties, including but not limited to:

1. Manage value engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with objectives and timelines.
2. Identify, analyze & prioritize opportunities for cost optimization and product value enhancement collaborating with cross-functional teams.
3. Perform Value Analysis/Value Engineering studies, document areas for improvement, and develop cost-effective solutions for both NPIs and sustaining projects.
4. Coordinate with HW engineering, Sourcing Managers, and Quality teams to implement VA/VE initiatives.
5. Transform VE initiatives to projects by preparing business cases and delivering recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
6. Communicate project status, progress, and project KPIs to stakeholders on a regular basis.
7. Track, update, and present on project savings monthly to key stakeholders.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in electronics, mechanical engineering, or related technical field.
2. Understanding of value engineering principles, lean methodology, and cost analysis techniques.
3. Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
4. Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
5. Strong proficiency in English.
6. Ability to effectively prioritize workload and complete tasks to best meet organization’s needs.
7. Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel.
8. Knowledge about Lean Six Sigma process.
9. Knowledge of timeline management, project financials, and risk management principles.
10. Growth mindset (naturally curious & strong learning agility).
11. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Localization

1. Employees must have a driver’s license.
2. This role can be 100% remote but will be expected to have regular presence at one of Carriers offices, the cadence of which you will align with your manager on.
3. Office locations: Gdańsk, Poland or Ropczyce, Poland.
4. Business travel (max. 20% of time).
