Our client is currently seeking a highly skilled Valuation Controller to join their team in Krakow, Poland. Position Overview

As a Valuation Controller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial instrument valuations. You will be responsible for performing FVA and IPV, calculating PVA, and preparing FVL. The successful candidate will work closely with key stakeholders to improve controls, implement valuation methodologies, and deliver a single view of the P&L and Balance Sheet.

Responsibilities

  • Perform FVA and IPV to ensure accurate valuation of financial instruments
  • Calculate PVA and prepare FVL to support financial reporting
  • Improve controls and implement valuation methodologies to enhance the valuation process
  • Prepare Management Information to provide insights into financial performance
  • Deliver a single view of the P&L and Balance Sheet to support decision-making
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate effective collaboration
  • Reengineer and streamline processes to improve efficiency and accuracy

Requirements

  • University degree in a financial/economic subject or Mathematics/Physics/Engineering
  • Good understanding of financial instruments and valuation techniques
  • Basic knowledge of market risk factors
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel; VBA preferred; Access & SQL an advantage
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ambitious and enthusiastic approach to work
  • CFA / FRM qualification (also in progress) will be an asset
