Team/Role Overview
The Valuation Control Senior Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for contributing to the Independent Price Verification, Valuation Adjustment and Fair Value Hierarchy processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Solve valuation issues under little to no supervision, including complex problems
- Apply in-depth industry knowledge towards the development of new techniques and improving processes or workflow for the Finance department
- Serve as a subject matter expert within Valuation Control
- Identify process gaps and control issues
- Evaluate moderately complex issues utilizing data, and select the best action between potentially conflicting situations
- Analyse data by filtering, prioritizing, and validating moderately complex information from multiple sources
- Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision
- Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy
- Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members
- Apply in-depth knowledge of product valuation, industry practices and standards
- Provide solutions for varied issues that potentially impact the broader business
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in any finance, accounting or quantitative related subject
- 5-8 years of finance-related experience, ideally in a valuation, product control, financial control or a related discipline
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical skills
