  • Drive the development, enhancement, and documentation of valuation control policies, procedures, and methodologies with particular attention to the design of controls, incorporating evolving industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure timely remediation of regulatory matters requiring attention, audit findings and reporting demands associated with the area of responsibility.
  • Represent VCG in various cross‑functional initiatives, working groups, and discussions with internal and external auditors or regulatory bodies.
  • Actively contribute to strategic projects aimed at strengthening the firm’s valuation control framework and improving operational efficiency.
  • People management dependent on the level and scope of the position.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Quantitative Finance, Mathematics, or a closely related quantitative discipline.
  • 5‑10 years’ professional experience in Finance (preferably in valuations, product control, risk, financial control, or similar functions).
  • Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem‑solving abilities, with a proven track record of resolving complex valuation issues independently.
  • Strong understanding of current global accounting and regulatory developments pertaining to valuation of financial instruments.
  • In‑depth knowledge of a broad range of financial instruments, market dynamics, and valuation methodologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts and valuation results effectively to both technical and non‑technical audiences, including senior management.
  • Strong computer literacy with special regard to Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in leading, mentoring, or coaching teams is highly desirable for certain roles within this function.

The above qualifications and skills are considered as primary assets for the position – but we do not pursue perfectionism: we look for capable colleagues and help them grow to excellence in their fields and positions.

  • A supportive workplace for professionals returning to the office from childcare leave.
  • Competitive compensation package.
  • In‑depth understanding of pricing and price verification approaches for various products.
  • Opportunity to build strong process improvement capabilities.
  • Managing a team in a multicultural banking environment (dependent on the level and scope of the position) and close interaction with other locations.
