Job Description:

Position Purpose

This role will function as a UX Writer for one more digital enterprise products. Working with a highly talented team, youll play a key role to set the voice and tone of the applications for the customer of the world’s largest automotive and industrial replacement parts distribution companies.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation & Optimization

  1. Craft concise, clear microcopy for UI elements including buttons, error messages, tooltips, forms, and notifications
  2. Develop engaging onboarding flows, product tours, and in-app guidance
  3. Write help documentation that simplifies complex processes
  4. Collaborate on marketing copy that aligns with the product experience
  5. Conduct A/B testing to optimize content for user engagement and conversion

Product Language System Development

  1. Create and maintain a comprehensive product lexicon/glossary that standardizes terminology across the entire platform
  2. Develop a robust content style guide defining voice, tone, terminology, and grammar rules
  3. Establish consistent writing patterns and templates for recurring UI elements
  4. Build scalable content frameworks that promote product learnability and ease of use
  5. Document naming conventions for features, actions, and UI components

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  1. Partner with UX designers to integrate copy seamlessly with visual design
  2. Work alongside product managers to align content with product strategy and user needs
  3. Coordinate with developers to implement copy in a technically feasible way
  4. Collaborate with marketing and customer success teams to ensure consistent messaging across all touchpoints
  5. Participate in design critiques and product planning sessions

Research & Iterative Improvement

  1. Conduct content audits to identify inconsistencies and areas for improvement
  2. Analyze user feedback and support tickets to identify content-related pain points
  3. Research industry terminology and user expectations to inform language choices
  4. Stay current on UX writing best practices and emerging patterns
  5. Advocate for the user through thoughtful content decisions

Requirements

Qualifications

Required

  1. 3+ years of experience in UX writing, content design, or a similar role for digital products
  2. Fluency in English
  3. Strong portfolio demonstrating experience with microcopy, user flows, and content systems
  4. Experience creating and maintaining content style guides and terminology systems
  5. Excellent writing and editing skills with meticulous attention to detail
  6. Understanding of UX principles and user-centered design approaches
  7. Ability to explain complex concepts in simple, user-friendly language
  8. Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams

Preferred

  1. Experience writing for SaaS or B2B products
  2. Familiarity with design systems and component-based design
  3. Background in information architecture or content strategy
  4. Experience with content management systems or design tools (Figma, Sketch)
  5. Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive writing practices
  6. Experience with localization and writing for global audiences
  7. Data-driven approach to content optimization
