Why N-able

We are seeking a skilled customer-focused UX Manager who can help us transform our customers Cloud Data Protection experience. As a relentless advocate for our customers, you will shape the user experience of our Cove product, ensuring an intuitive, efficient, and user-friendly experience.

As a UX Manager, you will bring your experience working on UX in other SaaS companies, acting as a player-coach, and will lead a team of talented UX designers and researchers, driving alignment and working towards common goals. You will drive our UX principles, improve our product experience, actively be involved in generating designs, deliver on our UX strategy, provide guidance and support, manage operational health, all the while driving improvements to team processes.

What Youll Do

  • Manage a team of Researchers and Designers, providing guidance and supporting their professional development.
  • Build outstanding teams, manage relationships and communications within the team, facilitate collaboration, and fill knowledge gaps.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship for your distributed team of UX Designers and Researchers.
  • Oversee the day-to-day activities of your team when necessary, helping with task delegation where necessary, and providing feedback.
  • Create Customer Journeys, Wireflows, and Prototypes: Design wireflows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes to visualize user flows and interfaces that support cross-work stream experiences.
  • Conduct UX reviews to ensure the quality and usability of Cove is maintained.
  • Essential to this role is building strong relationships with Engineering, Product Management, and Architecture team members and leaders.
  • Advocate for user-centered design thinking with a continuous discovery mindset.
  • Ensure the success of product releases through proper prioritization, efficient design processes, and strong integration within the product development lifecycle.

What Youll Bring

  • In-company UX design experience for SaaS organizations rather than only design consultancy experience.
  • Ability to lead a cross-functional team by driving toward shared goals/outcomes and influence outcomes by aligning teams toward a common vision.
  • Professional portfolio of work demonstrating excellence in digital product design/research and a solid execution of user-centric design processes.
  • Comprehensive design background with expertise in visual design and interaction design.
  • Passionate advocate for the user, committed to creating unexpectedly simple user experiences from complex technical business problems.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Miro, Qualtrics, Figma, Jira, Salesforce, Pendo, or similar.
  • Comfortable being more hands-on as a designer from time to time.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
