Your daily tasks:
• Create Incident tickets for outages/exceptions
• Respond to Alerts by following documented process
• Monitoring of UNIX-based systems
• Monitor Logs/Events
• Monitoring thresholds such as CPU Utilization, disk space etc.
• Monitoring mailbox
• Event evaluation with the help of knowledge databases
• Editing the ARS queues
• Receipt and processing of fault reports from customers
• Vendor Co-ordination
• Trouble shooting according to the current incident management process
• Creation of problem tickets upon detection of accumulations or anomalies
• Performing operational tasks (cleanup, password resets, execute standard changes, processing operating orders)
• Establish thresholds for CPU Utilization, disk space Usage etc.
• Alert appropriate teams for Capacity issues and remediation actions
• Assist in troubleshooting in issues arising out of patches applied
• Update Configuration Management Database
• Creation of flow charts with all necessary organizational and technical activities in connection with the Changes
• Install Approved OS/Security/Application patches
• Trouble shooting Name resolution problems
• Document operations procedures and services
Our requirements:
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Unix server administration & L2 support
• Good Communication skill (English speaking)
• Basic knowledge in ITIL Processes (Event, Incident, Request, Problem, Change, Release, Capacity, Availability)
• Working on Putty
• Basic Knowledge in ITSM tool - BMC Remedy & ServiceNow
• Basic Knowledge in Monitoring tool console (HP OVO) operation for Infrastructure Management
