Responsibilities
- Conduct advanced research in visual systems, image processing, VR/AR technologies and biomedical engineering.
- Develop and deliver courses in image processing, computer vision, XR technologies and biomedical imaging applications.
- Supervise engineering and master’s theses, and act as PhD supervisor.
- Act as principal investigator or project leader in externally funded research or industry collaboration projects.
Requirements
- PhD or equivalent in engineering or technical sciences.
- Postdoctoral degree (doktor habilitowany) in engineering or technical sciences, specializing in automation, electronics, electrical engineering or space technologies.
- Significant scientific record: at least 50 journal articles indexed in Web of Science Core Collection or Scopus, at least 20 JCR-indexed articles, total Impact Factor ≥20, h‑index ≥8, and ≥5 JCR-indexed articles in the last 5 years.
- Authorship of at least one scientific monograph and co‑authorship of five monograph chapters in visual systems, image information engineering, VR/AR technologies or biomedical engineering.
- Participation in at least 20 R&D projects, three patent applications or granted patents in visual systems or VR/AR technologies, and at least three expert studies or external opinions.
- Project management experience: principal investigator of at least two externally funded projects and project leader of at least five industry‑cooperated projects; at least three formal cooperation agreements with industry or research institutions.
- Specialised skills: PRINCE2 Foundation certificate, IMINT training certification, proficiency with specialised cameras, 3D scanning systems, handheld 3D scanners, industrial robots, modern monitoring systems, and higher education logistics.
- Technical competencies: visual and sensor data processing, automation of data processing in distributed systems using AI, practical programming in Python, Unity3D environment and VR/AR applications.
- Teaching competencies: minimum 10 years of teaching at higher education institutions, documented delivery of courses in image processing, computer vision, XR technologies and biomedical imaging applications, supervision of at least 20 master’s theses and one PhD thesis.
