We are looking for a UI Designer who is passionate not just about how things look, but how they work and scale. You will bridge the gap between design and development, focusing on building robust design systems and crafting intuitive interfaces for complex, enterprise-grade applications in the Space and MedTech sectors.

BitByBit Sp. z o.o. is a company specialising in advanced IT solutions for the space sector. Our software supports the monitoring and control of space missions, serving as a key component of the ground segment. We collaborate with the European Space Agency, research institutions, and leading entities in the space sector, delivering innovative solutions in data processing, system optimisation, and standardisation of space mission management.

Due to constant development and new opportunities related to the project, we are looking for passionate software engineers who are willing to work in the space industry.

What you will bring to the table (Must-haves):

Design Systems & Architecture 

• Enterprise-Grade Systems: Proven experience in designing, maintaining, and scaling Design Systems for complex products. You know that a Design System is more than just a sticker sheet.
• Design Tokens Mastery: Practical knowledge of Design Tokens. You understand how to define them and how they synchronize with the codebase to ensure consistency between design and development.
• Advanced Figma Skills: You know Figma inside out, specifically regarding system architecture, nested components, auto-layout, and variable management.

Product & Interface Design

• Responsive Excellence: Ability to design fully responsive applications that work seamlessly across various viewports.
• Solid UX Foundations: While your focus is UI, you have a strong grasp of UX principles. You understand information architecture, visual hierarchy, and interaction design.
• Complexity Management: Experience in designing for complex interfaces where readability and reducing cognitive load are priorities. You know how to make heavy data look clean and digestible.

Communication & Leadership skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven track record of working in Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
• English Proficiency: You have a very good command of English allowing you to articulate complex design decisions and collaborate effectively in an international environment.

Nice to have:

• Theming Experience: Experience working with multi-brand systems or complex theming (e.g., light/dark modes, white-label products).
• Dev-Ready Mindset: Familiarity with Front-End architecture and Component-Driven UI. You speak the same language as developers and understand the technical constraints of your designs.

,[UI Design & Prototyping: Translate wireframes, user flows, and business requirements provided by UX Designers, Product Owners, and Clients into high-fidelity, pixel-perfect interfaces in Figma., Design System Maintenance: actively manage and expand the global Design System. You will be responsible for creating reusable components and managing Design Tokens to ensure consistency across the product., Developer Collaboration: Work closely with the Development Team to ensure technical feasibility. You will prepare precise design handoffs (specs, assets) and support devs during the implementation phase to ensure the final product matches the design., UX Alignment: Partner with the UX team to validate that visual decisions support the Information Architecture and enhance the overall user journey without compromising usability., Responsive Adaptation: Ensure all designs are fully responsive and optimised across devices and resolutions, while maintaining strict visual hierarchy standards. Requirements: UI, Figma, Prototyping, Visual design, Wireframing, theming, Jira, Agile Tools: GitLab.
