Summary:


The main purpose of the role will be to ensure a smooth transition of master data creation and maintenance from local teams to a centralized team, enabling better data management, decision-making, and operational efficiency across the organization while ensuring minimal disruption to business operations and maintaining masterdata governance and quality.


The Masterdata Organization Transition Manager reports to the S&M ERP Global Manager and has functional responsibility over the BSC Global Masterdata team.


Responsibilites and Tasks:


  • Migration Planning: Planning, coordinating and executing the migration from existing organizational structures to the new ones, by developing a comprehensive plan for the transition process, including timelines, resources, and key milestones while ensuring minimal disruption to business operations and data integrity.
  • Change Management and Stakeholder Engagement: Implementing change management strategies to gain buy-in from stakeholders for the centralization initiative. This includes communicating the benefits of centralization, addressing concerns, and involving key stakeholders in decision-making processes.
  • Data Governance: Ensuring that proper data governance policies and procedures are in maintained during the transition process and maintain data quality and integrity throughout.
  • Quality Assurance: Implementing quality assurance measures to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of master data throughout the transition process.
  • Training and Support: Providing training and education to employees on master data process, policies, procedures, and tools to ensure they have the knowledge and skills required to effectively manage master data in the new organizational structure.
  • Monitoring and Optimization: Continuously monitoring the performance and effectiveness of the centralized master data organization and making adjustments as needed to optimize processes and improve outcomes. This may involve identifying areas for improvement, implementing enhancements, and measuring key performance indicators.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Documenting all aspects of the centralization process, including decisions made, actions taken, and lessons learned. Regularly reporting progress and outcomes to stakeholders to keep them informed and engaged in the process.


Key Competences:


  • English fluency.
  • Project Management: Ability to plan, organize, and execute complex projects, including defining project scope, timelines, and deliverables, managing resources, and mitigating risks.
  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to engage and collaborate with stakeholders from various departments and levels of the organization to gain buy-in, address concerns, and foster a collaborative environment.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including executives, IT professionals, business users, and team members.
  • Critical Thinking: Ability to think critically and strategically to anticipate potential issues, identify opportunities for improvement, and make informed decisions.
  • Change Management: Proficiency in change management methodologies to effectively manage organizational change and overcome resistance to change among employees.
  • Technical Aptitude: Familiarity with data management processes and tools used for master data management.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills to lead cross-functional teams, inspire collaboration, and drive results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility and adaptability to navigate through changing priorities, unexpected challenges, and evolving project requirements.
  • Nice to have: Knowledge of French, Japanese or Chinese.


Required experience:


  • Bachelors degree in business administration, management, or a related field such as information technology.
  • Certifications in project management, change management, and/or transition management.
  • Proven transition project management experience, particularly those involving data management in big companies.
  • Highly desirable: familiarity with the industry and experience in Infor M3
