As we transform our business operations, we are looking for a new colleague to join us as Associate Director / Director, Transition and Transformation.
The objective of the GBS Transition & Transformation team/role is to build the central shared services organization by defining, designing, and implementing the GBS strategy and by providing organizational support across functions during the build and run phases. The GBS Transition & Transformation team will manage and coordinate high-scale, global implementation projects aiming to enable the company in implementing agreed scope in alignment with shared services industry practice, enabling functional business partners to build and sustain a culture of excellence, and contributing to building and maintaining a sustainable GBS organization for the company. The GBS Transition & Transformation team/role is global.
She/he will build, shape, and lead a team of program and project managers to establish a well-performing transformation team that enables the implementation of the day strategy for Company Shared Services, drives productivity improvements on a continuous basis, and achieves operational excellence against defined benchmarks in line with agreed standards. She/he will also build and develop talent, foster a shared service culture, and drive a continuous improvement mindset in the organization.
Your responsibilities will be:
Leadership and Management
- Develop and manage the integrated implementation plan for Company Shared Services days strategy.
- Develop/contribute to the shared services strategy based on knowledge and awareness of various applicable business scenarios.
- Define, design, and develop key process transformation areas required to enable successful Shared Services organizational set-up and implementation.
- Define, design, and execute the governance model for the Company Shared Services organization.
- Coordinate with all relevant stakeholders to ensure integration, efficiency, and effectiveness of the GBS implementation for the company.
- Identify future opportunities within current and non-current GBS scope (need for cross-functional solutions and/or new business for GBS).
- Prepare annual GBS Transition & Transformation business plan and build budget for approvals.
- Build a shared services culture within the company.
Implementation and Operations
- Define and apply a structured approach and methodology for driving the implementation of the Shared Services business model (i.e., migration methodology, cross-functional projects required from day 1).
- Define, propose, and implement business solutions aligned to organizational objectives and constraints (i.e., Shared Services location strategy, cross-functional solutions, etc.).
- Implement all aspects of operational changes necessary to move from existing processes/teams into the new Company GBS Set-up, achieving a balance between speed of implementation and risk of disruption to services.
- Coordinate the execution of several programs/projects associated with Shared Services implementation; manage and monitor the execution of all projects in the project portfolio on time, on budget, and at the expected level of quality.
- Develop and enable the deployment of required infrastructure (location, methodology, etc.) for in-scope functions to achieve assigned targets associated with Shared Services implementation.
- Define and execute portfolio/program/project governance.
- Provide superior customer service; collaborate with key stakeholders in delivering against expectations.
- Initiate standardization and promote a standard and systematic approach to continuously improve business practices and performance in the shared services environment.
- Ensure operational excellence and compliance in running the Transition & Transformation team and outsourced service providers during the transition and stabilization period.
- Collaborate within functions to gain best practice insights to measure and improve operations and leverage project efforts.
- Actively support and enable savings target achievement by in-scope functions by driving the shared services implementation.
- Sponsor/enable value-add, productivity & innovative solutions to support business competitive advantage.
- Manage global project teams to support the implementation of systems & processes, as per standards.
People Management
- Lead by example – act and drive actions to support the creation of a shared services culture within the company by creating awareness of the business model and delivering value to its customers.
- Provide leadership, training, and supervision – ensure that the transition and transformation team is sustainably staffed, developed, and directed.
- Role model a leadership style that is inclusive, proactive, respectful, change agile, innovative/creative, and results-driven with a strong customer service focus.
- Build and develop talent, drive a continuous improvement mindset in the organization, and develop and execute training in the areas of process excellence, continuous improvement, change management, transition, and transformation.
- Lead a team of 5-10 transition and transformation project and program managers.
