Role
Chief Operations Office – Transformation Engineering Team within the COO TOS function.
Key accountabilities
- Data discovery, analysis and visualization for network planning of transformation programs across multi‑technology platforms, aligned with Colt Engineering guidelines.
- Lead city strategy discussions, develop business cases, secure stakeholder approval and set financial justification for identified opportunities.
- Design, implement and manage network analytics and technical solutions for programs such as Node programme, Network Life Cycle, EoL and migrations.
- Deliver discovery and service analytics methods and databases aligned with network life cycle management for long‑term strategy.
- Provide progress reporting and project/summary reports with cost breakdowns.
- Develop migration approaches aligned to technologies and specific network sites.
- Manage workflows for technical migration planning and execution covering infrastructure and customer service migrations.
- Drive automation and simplification of transformation processes.

What we’re looking for
Must haves:
- Experience in a telco service provider environment, driving transformation strategies and planning/configuring/documenting network transformations.
- Strong budget awareness and proposal capability.
- Analytical skills to assess city network, uncover OPEX savings and build pipelines for execution teams.
- Capability to build BOM for various vendors based on network analysis.
- Experience with WDM (Ciena/ Infinera/ ADVA/ Nokia), Ethernet, IP (Cisco/Ciena/Nokia/Juniper), Voice (DMS, EWSD) and node/site planning.
- Proven ability to write business cases and prepare cost calculations for large transformation projects such as node exits and city strategies.
- Innovative mindset and motivation to think “out of the box.”
- Familiarity with project management methods, tools and performance measures.
- Knowledge of key technologies and architectures used in Colt’s network (Infinera LDN, NSN MSP, MMSP, IP, etc.).
- Proficiency in MS‑Excel and Visio; advantage for hands‑on VBA, Power BI, Python, Qlik, etc.
- Experience in planning and implementing large‑scale network transformation programmes.
Might have:
- Knowledge of Colt’s internal processes and systems used for change management, delivery and network inventory management.
