Project & Programme Management roles lead change initiation, design and delivery and are accountable for successful delivery of both Technology and Business Change Programmes and ensuring benefits realisation. They operate at an executive level and engage and influence a wide spectrum of stakeholders and partners across HSBC. The remit area may be market-based, regional or global, and may cross multiple GB/GFs.
responsibilities :
Drive and manage individual projects, programmes and/or portfolio of change initiatives of different complexity and geographical span, balancing scope, schedule, interdependencies, budget and risks.
Plan effectively around delivery constraints and optimise the plan to maximise benefits and minimise risk. Develop the plan within constraints, considering the delivery approach, key milestones and dependencies within the plan, requirements and scope, effort and resources, budgets and quality
Manage/ support relationships with internal, external stakeholders and multiple delivery partners
Accountable for all elements of programme financial management, including headcount and software delivery capitalisation.
Report progress, issues, dependencies and risks to steering committees / initiative leadership and make recommendations to influence decision making in order to maintain progress towards delivery and benefits realisation.
Drive / support the use of Agile methodologies within Technology teams (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, Lean) in line with corresponding transformation frameworks at the bank.
Lead / support the establishment of effective programme controls and procedures.
Drive/ support the adoption of HSBC standards and work in alignment with Change framework at all times.
requirements-expected :
Extensive project management skills, in depth experience in managing large and complex projects, programmes and portfolios in banking environment.
Very good understanding of banking and/or financial services industry and/or shared services organisations.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills and problem-solving ability.
Multiple strong examples of the delivery of on time and on budget projects that achieve business case stated outcomes - a driver with focus towards delivery at pace and controlling project outcomes
Extensive stakeholder management experience, especially impactful communication, influencing and running project governance, change management and benefits realisation
Strong and profound understanding of a regulatory driven change environment, including engagement with 2 Line of Defence
Experience in cooperating with stakeholders in different locations and experience of managing projects in Agile way; including working knowledge of Jira and Confluence
Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and remain flexible throughout the project.
