Test Engineer - Space & Defense

Join Nokia Space & Defense business focusing on customized solutions for NTN, defense and public safety domains. The NTN project is a collaboration with AST Space Mobile enabling direct-to-mobile satellite communications.

Job Description

We are looking for a passionate Test Engineer to dive into high‑end telecommunication technologies. End‑to‑end perspective, variety of tasks, lightweight processes and direct contact with customers make these projects challenging and attractive.

How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn

• Analyze features with respect to end‑to‑end purpose and functionality
• Design test cases and test scenarios based on requirements specifications
• Integrate and verify features in a customer‑close, end‑to‑end test lab with real equipment environment
• Automate test cases for regression tests to ensure high product quality
• Troubleshoot SW bugs by proper pre‑analysis of the faults, deliver traces and log files and verify the fixes delivered by development
• Cooperate closely with Architecture and Development teams

Key Skills And Experience

• Knowledge of telecommunication systems 4G/5G
• Knowledge of telecom protocols, IP and networking
• Experience with IP and telecom networks software and hardware troubleshooting
• Experience of LTE and 5G Core use and troubleshooting
• Python and bash knowledge
• Other tools: Linux user, GIT
• Good communication skills in English – both verbal and written
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications or a similar subject
• Readiness to work in a hybrid mode (Nokia Kraków office)

Nice to have

• Knowledge of 4G/5G standard
• Test automation experience
