About the project

We are looking for a skilled Mobile QA Automation Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in mobile application testing, backend testing, and automation using Java, Appium, and Browser Stack. They should also be familiar with Agile methodologies and possess excellent communication skills to work effectively in a multicultural environment. This role will also require occasional manual testing, requirements clarification, and identifying process improvements.

Your responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Java, Appium, and BrowserStack.
• Perform functional, regression, and performance testing for mobile applications as well as conduct manual testing when necessary to ensure comprehensive coverage.
• Test backend systems and APIs to ensure seamless integration with mobile applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile environments to ensure quality deliverables.
• Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports as well as Identify, report, and track bugs using Jira or similar tools.
• Explain requirements and provide clarity to stakeholders when needed.
• Contribute to the development of test strategies and frameworks (preferred but not mandatory).
• Identify and suggest improvements to testing processes and workflows and ensure adherence to best practices in testing and quality assurance.

Our requirements

• Proven experience in mobile application testing and automation.
• Strong knowledge of Java, Appium, and BrowserStack.
• Familiarity with backend testing and API testing tools.
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
• Proficiency in Jira for bug tracking and project management.
• Ability to perform manual testing when required.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests.
• Familiarity with cloud-based testing platforms.
• ISTQB certification or equivalent as well as Knowledge of test strategy development is a plus.
