The project is a redesign and reimplementation of an existing mobile application for a globally operating automotive enterprise. Work in the interdisciplinary scrum team of 10 - 12 people. The team will be cooperating with other scrum teams under SAFe (Scrum at scale) framework. The client has a mobile app that connects drivers with their cars. The app is launched to several markets and is being actively used by millions of users every day. The development of the application started many years ago, targeting two mobile platforms (Android and iOS), each in a separate codebase. The client is currently redesigning the aforementioned mobile application. To do so, client uses React Native framework to implement the new features in a cross-platform way. Until the redesign is completed, the application contains both React Native and legacy native components. Such an application is commonly referred to as a brownfield application. Client is looking to spin-up a cross functional self-managing scrum team to be the part of this project.
