Responsibilities:
Lead and implement the test strategy of the API Service Catalogue & Developer Portal team, to achieve stable & predictable releases of a high quality; through designing developing & executing appropriate test strategies, plans and scripts
Own and be fully responsible for the entire test suite. This includes owning, optimising, strategically improving and evangelising test-driven-approaches for outcomes
Leverage cutting-edge technologies and frameworks to enhance test efficiency and reliability.
Own, improve, and execute entire test suite, including performance, smoke, and regression test suites
Define test strategies, from top-level goals to unit test approaches
Identify appropriate test scenarios, prepare data and environments, design and execute test cases
Debug and understand support and quality issues
Closely work with Product Owner & Engineering team to understand the problem space and desired behaviour, through participating in requirements gathering exercises and formulating acceptance criteria
Requirements:
Strong ownership and continuous learning/improvement mindset, with keen achievement-oriented passion to perform
Passion for automation and an eye for understanding critical system parts as well as edge cases
Knowledge of CICD to optimize continuous integration & deployment pipelines
Strong experience on:
Front end web application / React and JavaScript testing
JavaScript or similar programming languages
Test Automation, preferably using Selenium with Cucumber
Data driven test approaches
Test data generation & management
Postman and/or other API testing tools
CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Azure DevOps) – in particular, running, debugging and optimising
Behaviour driven development frameworks
Azure DevOps or similar tool such as JIRA, for project/task management
Agile and DevSecOps
Nice to have experience:
Backstage.io, Selenium Grid, API Testing, Serenity BDD, JMeter, Jest?
