DevOps Architect  is an ambassador and owner of DevOps principles and practices for the global Digital Integration product team. In this role, you will own and drive the implementation of the DevOps best practices that are relevant to all the engineering work and ensure the highest possible efficiency for delivery of the interfaces.

Your responsibilities would include:

• being an ambassador of Digital integration to our internal as well as external customers and partners, to promote API first and/or event-driven integration strategy amongst others
• driving the intake of new DevOps related requirements, together with fellow DevOps engineers, platform architects and refinements to bring clarity
• collaborating with product owner, the product architect and fellow capability leads to jointly define DevOps vision and strategy for the DI team
• collaborating with fellow team members and SMEs to identify, define, and maintain DevOps standards and best practices, and further DevOps capability development
• owning and driving continuous improvement analysis of the existing DevOps solutions, identifying architectural optimizations, and drive the improvements
• looking for and improve based on the user feedback concerning the DevOps solutions and practices
• owning the DevOps agenda for DI team
• advising and owning the DevOps architecture and solutions for various integration platforms such as Boomi, Solace, Azure API Management, MuleSoft, SAP CPI
• acting as inspiration and trusted advisor for DevOps engineers, developers concerning all DevOps topics
• driving the implementation and maintenance of CI/CD architecture, deployment pipeline design, observability solutions
• creating and maintaining documentation regarding your work, best practices, and other relevant aspects
• taking part in peer review, co-creation with fellow DevOps engineers and developers within the product team as well as in DevOps community
• verifying the implementation of DevOps uses cases - ensure the delivered solutions are consistent with the agreed solution design and meet the relevant functional and non-functional requirements
• collaborating with integration developers to ensure high quality integrations, platform health, reusability, scalability, and security
• contributing to building your DevOps Chapter and community of practices
• looking to learn from peer companies and market leaders and bring in innovation to the DI solution(s) that have a tangible and positive impact on overall quality and time to market
• collaborating with scrum team(s), fellow integration SMEs and Architects, learn from them as well as offer coaching in the relevant areas
• coordinating with the product team(s) to deliver value, through an Agile framework.

You are a good candidate if you have:

• bachelors or master’s degree, preferably in computer science or IT
• 7+ years of professional IT experience and demonstratable 3+ years of hands-on experience in the similar role that dealt with building, deploying, and maintaining DevOps solutions
• strong knowledge and demonstratable experience of DevOps principles and best practices
• hands-on experience with CICD implementation, configuration as code (CaC), infra as code (IaC), automated testing, observability and APM tools, security and secret detection using tools such as - SonarQube, ELK stack, Azure DevOps, Splunk, New Relic
• working knowledge of APIs (REST, etc.), HTTP, SSL/TLS, SOAP, authentication protocols including OAuth and OpenID
• proficient in version control and branching strategy, pull requests, scripting in bash / PowerShell /python
• Agile mindset and practical experience in Agile delivery
• excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• some leadership experience, especially in a dynamic and distributed environment of cross skill teams. Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skill
• experience in the FMCG industry.

You are a perfect match if you also have:

• networking knowledge, preferably on Azure (Private Endpoint, Azure networking etc.), Azure (Entra) AD and concepts of Service Principals and App Registrations
• familiarity with various integration architecture designs & patterns such as microservices, event based and SOA amongst others
• experience with at least two of the following preferred platforms - Boomi, IBM API Connect, SAP PO, Solace, or similar industry leading platforms, both on premise and on cloud.
