About The Role

The Tech Finance and FinOps Manager is responsible for driving IT financial transparency, cost optimization, and disciplined cost management across Wella’s infrastructure, cloud, and enterprise technology landscape.

The role acts as the central point between Technology and Finance, ensuring that IT investments deliver measurable value and operate within defined financial and operational guardrails. It will work closely with all the Technology Towers, Wella Finance, Procurement, and Vendor Governance.

This role will manage IT cost tracking, annual and quarterly financial reporting for Technology, preparing showbacks for the business functions, and optimization initiatives that underpin efficient and sustainable technology operations.

What Will You Do

  • IT Cost Management & Optimization
  • Lead the Financial planning activities with the IT Leadership Team providing data driven insights to enable strategic investment decisions
  • Track and analyze IT operating costs across infrastructure, cloud, and enterprise platforms
  • Develop and maintain cost allocation and showback models to improve financial visibility and accountability
  • Identify and drive cost optimization opportunities through consumption analysis and vendor collaboration, and collaboration with IT Leads
  • Collaborate with IT Leaders to develop the Strategic Plan and Budget, aligning business goals with financial goals
  • Financial Planning & Budget Governance
  • Prepare monthly Capital and Expense projections, identifying key risks and opportunities
  • Partner with Wella Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and variance management
  • Monitor actuals vs forecast in Tech spend and highlight deviations, corrective actions, and optimization opportunities
  • Prepare financial reports and dashboards for Technology leadership and SteerCo reviews
  • Cloud & Infrastructure FinOps
  • Lead FinOps practices to optimize cloud and hosting spend through tagging, rightsizing, and consumption control
  • Maintain visibility of cloud costs using dashboards and FinOps tooling (ServiceNow, Power BI, or native cloud tools)
  • Partner with Infrastructure and Cloud Leads to ensure architecture and service design align with cost efficiency goals
  • Analyze Cloud Agreements to uncover cost savings opportunities and ensure efficient resource utilization
  • Embed FinOps accountability across delivery teams to ensure ongoing spend discipline
  • License & Contract Financial Governance
  • Oversee software license utilization and associated financial impact across platforms (SAP, Microsoft, Salesforce, etc.)
  • Collaborate with Procurement and Vendor Governance to review renewals, commercial terms, and usage optimization
  • Support license audits and financial compliance reviews to prevent overspend and ensure contractual accuracy
  • Monitor enterprise license consumption to reduce duplication, unused allocations, and waste
  • Recommend cost optimization guardrails and renewal strategies based on usage trends and vendor performance
  • Interfaces & Collaboration
  • All Tech Towers – collaborate on budgeting, forecasting,variance reporting, cost optimization initiatives. Ensure transparency and accountability in cost tracking and optimization
  • Wella Finance – collaborate on annual and quarterly Tech budget reporting and forecasts
  • Procurement – coordinate on cost control, renewals, and commercial efficiency

What We Want You To Bring Along

  • Strong understanding of IT financial management, FinOps practices, and cost control frameworks
  • Skilled in financial analysis, variance tracking, and spend forecasting
  • Hands‑on experience with cloud cost management and software licensing models
  • Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or similar financial visualization and reporting tools
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to financial detail and governance discipline
  • Ability to translate financial data into actionable insights for technical and business stakeholders
  • Collaborative, structured, and results‑oriented working style across Technology and Finance teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, IT, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • FinOps Certified Practitioner or equivalent; ITIL Foundation beneficial
