Job Description:
Robotec.ai is a software company that develops hi-tech solutions for robotics and automotive industries. We help our customers build state-of-the-art robotic simulations and testing tools to ensure their machines work safely and efficiently. Our engineers also develop various R&D projects and products. We believe that human-centered robotics and open source are the future of sustainable growth.
We are currently looking for an experienced Tech Writer to create and maintain concise technical documentation for our services and products, especially our simulation platform RoSi. As our Technical Writer, you will ensure our users have the best possible experience using our products by providing them with accurate and user-friendly documentation.
What you will do:
- Collaborate with our product and project teams to gather information and understand software specifications and functionalities
- Create and keep up-to-date user manuals, guides, FAQs, release notes, online help documentation, and API documentation
- Edit and proofread documentation to ensure clarity, language correctness, and formatting
- Translate complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand content for various audiences, including end-users and technical staff
- Gather user feedback on the documentation
- Maintain consistency in style, tone, and terminology across all company’s tech documentation
- Improve documentation process by researching and recommending new tools and best practices
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Previous experience as a Technical Writer or similar role, preferably in software, robotics, AI, computer graphics, or automotive projects
- Overall understanding of software development processes, software architecture, and being able to read and code
- Familiarity with tools like Git, GitHub, and/or GitLab.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong understanding of technical concepts related to software engineering and ability to learn new ones quickly.
