Role Overview
At Propellerhead, the Technical Strategist role focuses on delivering resilient software systems that power everything from complex infrastructure to innovative new platforms. This role works closely alongside Product Owners to plan ahead on a portfolio of product roadmaps.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, review and communicate solution architecture in collaboration with Development teams and the core Engineering team.
- Champion the technical strategy of Propellerhead as a key business differentiator, aligning design and implementation of solutions with that vision.
- Build trusted relationships with key client decision‑makers and ensure clear communication of technical requirements and solution design to client technologists.
- Serve as the go‑to technical person for clients’ solutions, including facilitating technical pre‑requisites for delivery and addressing improvements from operational feedback.
- Develop strategies to ensure quality measures such as speed‑to‑value, security, reliability, maintainability, performance and functional fit for purpose.
- Facilitate the evolution of our code base from C# to Rust, managing the ecosystem of tools, practices and services, and incorporating AI for requirements, testing and code generation.
Skills & Experience Required
- 8+ years of experience developing multi‑tier and distributed applications.
- Experience with React user interfaces and C# services; confidence with Typescript, Java, Go and Rust is required.
- Strong communication skills with tangible examples of bridging technical solutions with business needs.
- Hands‑on experience designing solutions on Azure, including CI/CD pipelines and operations instrumentation.
- Experience streaming and messaging platforms such as Kafka or NATS (highly desirable).
- Proven experience leading the design of complex software applications, preferably for corporate enterprise.
- Technical leadership with experience or interest in digital identity, verifiable credentials, open banking, AI agent authorization, or edge/device‑based software deployment.
