Technical Project Manager for Toshiba (only Wroclaw)
Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions isseeking aTechnical Project Manager tojoin ahigh performing team developing cloud-based software solutions for the Retail Market. The Technical Project Manager will beresponsible for driving ateam ofdevelopers, testers, software architects and other supporting roles throughout all phases ofthe software development life cycle from concept, toproduct release, tolife cycle management. The Technical Project Manager will use Agile and Project Management development processes and best practices toensure quality, on-time, on-budget deliverables.
The Project Manager will represent the SWDevelopment organization atcross-functional teams trusted with defining, developing, releasing, and maintaining products and solutions. This isanexcellent opportunity for aTechnical Project Manager toapply his/her knowledge todeliver innovative products tothe retail marketplace.
Responsibilities:
- Successfully lead complex projects byguiding adevelopment team todefine, plan, deliver and support high-quality software products and solutions.
- Ensure each team isconsistently applying Agile and development practices ineach group.
- Provide regular Executive Updates atthe end ofeach sprint.
- Organize and plan the product feature-function content, working with the product group onprioritization and technical leadership onsizing and dependencies.
- Work with technical leadership todevelop product release schedules, committing those schedules tothe business and ensuring timely execution.
- Present project status and recommendations tomanagement.
- Complete all work items including legal clearances, regulatory requirements, product classifications and ensure that products meet industry standards.
- Interact with stakeholders asappropriate todiscuss product functionality, performance, plans and field support escalations.
- Identify and resolve problems, gaps, and challenges inthe software engineering processes.
- Foster anenvironment ofcollaboration, trust, and accountability.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree inengineering, computer science field orequivalent experience.
- Strong leadership skills
- Aminimum of2years ofworking within the Software Development Life Cycle invarious capacities.
- Ability towork inafast-paced environment with team members dispersed across multiple countries and time zones.
- Good understanding ofthe Software Development Life Cycle.
- Good understanding ofJava, Cloud, and Microservices based solutions
- Experience with the Agile/Scrum process applied tosoftware development.
