Technical Operations Manager, Third Party Data Center (English)

Minimum qualifications

• Associate’s degree, trade school certification, or other certified training in a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7 years of experience in critical facility operation management.
• Ability to communicate in English fluently to support stakeholder relationships.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience working in data center environments, including building and operating infrastructure.
• Experience with initiating and executing initiatives in a global environment.
• Passion for operations and people management.
• Ability to perform operational assessment and risk analysis of third‑party sites.
• Ability to forecast resource requirements in a data‑driven way.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills.

About The Job

At Google, the Facilities Management team brings our spaces to life through the daily operations of our offices. Third‑Party Data Center Operations provides technical due diligence for site selection, sustains and improves the quality of vendor‑operated data centers, and mitigates conflicts for critical work risk. In this role, you will focus on reliable operation of mechanical and electrical infrastructure, partnering with vendor operators, the Google Data Center Engineering team, Hardware Operations, Network Infrastructure, and third‑party data center vendors. You will represent the operations organization and ensure operability, maintainability, and reliability are critical criteria for Google assets.

Responsibilities

• Own third‑party data center operations within a region with full accountability.
• Support site selection process through operational and technical knowledge.
• Perform operational assessment and risk analysis of third‑party data center sites.
• Keep main stakeholders informed about current work and discuss decisions and directions with them.
• Contribute to focus area strategy and setting strategy for smaller local groups.
