Candidate Profile
- Performance detection and proactive analysis on escalated CIF/Critical databases
- Engage in BCI’s when required
- Carry out deep dives with application teams and other support teams. Recommend necessary changes on flagged databases
- Help establish and improve the performance detection mechanisms with the usage of Oracle analysers tools and utilities, DB performance index(performance management), Service Degradation Monitoring, OEM, etc.
- Support and Escalation during RCA’s for CIF/critical databases
- Technical support & RCA validation QA
- Technical support during handovers from Engineering to Operations when required.
Must-have knowledge and experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience working as a DBA expert for a large Oracle customer
Desirable experience and skills
- Experience in managing at least a few hundreds of Oracle
- Skilled at daily DBA management (diagnosing and troubleshooting issues, responding to incidents and quickly restoring services, delivering technical consultation to other units, etc.)
- Experience with tools for query plan analysis and database monitoring.
- Strong SQL development and tuning background (DML/DDL).
- Familiarity with locking, latching, contention, and rollback handling.
- Solid understanding of performance testing and capacity planning.
- Skilled at planning and controlling IT operations (defining, creating and ensuring following of standard operating procedures, ensuring compliance with policies from Engineering and Cybersecurity, patching, upgrading, hardening, monitoring, etc.)
- Having proficiency in English, spoken and written B2
- Experienced with working for a financial institution.
LOCATION: The team will work in hybrid mode, at least 2 days per week from the Warsaw, Łódź or Trójmiasto office.
