Managing and providing technical expertise to the tribe.
Orchestrating technical development within the tribe.
Accountable for enabling the product teams to effectively develop solutions by selecting the right technologies and tools, as well as supporting with overall architecture.
Providing tools and consultancy for Technology, Architecture, and IT Security questions to the product teams.
Defining tools and practices needed for the development of solutions in the tribe.
Providing technical consultation, decision support, and expertise.
Establishing, continuously validating, and evolving Technology, Architecture, IT Security, and DevOps standards and corresponding tools and frameworks within the tribe.
Evaluating new technologies and processes relevant to the tribe.
Supporting disciplinary managers with the development and hiring of technical staff in the tribe.
Fostering developer advocacy culture and representation of technical staff interests in the tribe.
Consulting on strategic and tactical changes that may affect the tribe in terms of Technology, Architecture, IT Security, and DevOps.
Managing vendor relations relevant to the tribe.
Informing IT&D technical and operations (DevOps) processes and standards.
Supporting squads in the selection of the right technology.
Supporting squads in architecture creation.
Aligning with technical tribe leads and the Engineering and Technology enterprise function and DevOps.
Weekly alignment with technical leads of the squads about current technological topics.
Supporting the tribe in DevOps topics as a proxy for the DevOps Enterprise function.
Regular alignments with suppliers.
Conducting job interviews for technical staff.
Supporting secure coding practices and secure operations of the tribes services.
Conducting threat analysis and supporting penetration test result remediation.
Moderating communication between developers and non-developers.
Stepping in for missing internal developers in squads.
Evaluating new technologies.
Supporting the creation and maintenance of tools for squads.
Providing technical support in the preparation of new projects.
Representing the company as a speaker at conferences.
Conducting code reviews within the tribe.
Onboarding new developers to the tribe.
Monitoring general service availability within the tribe.
Conducting technical evaluation of new projects relevant to the tribe.
Providing initial effort estimations for new projects relevant to the tribe.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Masters / Diploma degree in Computer Science or related disciplines.
Additional masters degree in business administration preferred.
Experienced team lead with at least five years of managerial responsibility for multicultural and worldwide teams.
Experienced Lead Developer / Architect with at least ten years of professional expertise in Java Enterprise development.
Knowledge of forwarding business or other industries with at least ten years of work experience is preferred.
Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
Customer and service orientation.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively across diverse organizations, groups, and functions.
Flexible thinker able to operate in a changing environment.
Fluent in Business English and Polish (written and spoken), German would be advantageous.
