Technical Consulting Engineer - Security (FIREWALL)

Location: Krakow, Poland

Meet the team:

Join Cisco as a TAC Security Engineer in our senior EMEA team, part of the Customer Experience Centers (CXC). Youll become a trusted authority for global customers, engaging with ground breaking networking security technologies. Collaborating in a global shift approach, youll troubleshoot and resolve complex issues, chipping in to Ciscos high standards of customer satisfaction. This role offers exciting opportunities for professional growth and innovation through teamwork.

Your Impact:

• Resolve sophisticated technical issues through collaboration with customers and cross-technology teams.
• Contribute to knowledge bases, troubleshooting guides.
• Recreate customer issues in Cisco labs and assist with escalations.
• Develop intellectual capital, including documentation and training.
• Innovate in problem-solving and provide guidance to engineers.
• Partner with serviceability teams to review specifications and submit bug reports.
• At least 1 year of experience involving customer support element in Security technologies.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP stack, Routing/Switching, SSL/TLS, common Application Layer protocols.
• Motivated to configure and troubleshoot Cisco or similar security products.

Preferred qualifications:

• Troubleshooting skills (in Linux and/or Windows).
• CCNA/CCNP certifications are highly desirable (but not required)
