As part of a large-scale data center migration initiative involving multiple servers, network devices, and firewalls, we are seeking an experienced Technical Consultant to lead and support all technical aspects of the migration planning and execution. This individual will play a key role in assessing the current infrastructure, identifying dependencies, designing migration strategies, and coordinating deliverables with cross-functional teams.
This role is critical to ensuring a smooth, secure, and compliant transition, aligned with enterprise-level architecture and business continuity requirements. The consultant will support validation efforts, enforce governance standards, and provide expert input throughout all migration phases.

Develop technical designs and architecture for the target data center environment
Ensure compatibility, performance, scalability and security in the new setup
Help choose the right tools, platforms, and technologies
Coordinate and perform the actual migration of systems, applications, and data
Use migration tools to move workloads while minimizing downtime
Ensure system integrity and functionality post-migration
Create documentation on configurations, processes, and system changes
Provide training and support to internal IT teams
Ensure smooth transition and knowledge transfer
Work closely with project managers, infrastructure teams, and external vendors
Act as a technical liaison between business and IT teams
requirements-expected :
Deep understanding of LAN/WAN, VLANs, routing, and switching
Experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF)
Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or similar network devices
Configuration and migration of firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA, Check Point)
Knowledge of security policies, NAT, VPNs (IPSec, SSL), and access control lists
Ability to design and implement secure network architectures
Familiarity with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V)
Understanding of storage systems (SAN, NAS) and data replication
Experience with server platforms (Windows/Linux), clustering, and load balancing
Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud migrations
Knowledge of hybrid architecture and cloud networking (VPCs, security groups, etc.)
