What You’ll Do
- The Technical Communications I owns the definition and delivery for larger Technical Communication projects, within a Product Area, and articulates a clear documentation solution.
- The Technical Communications I operates and drives across 2-3 documentation tracks concurrently and across multiple products as a documentation owner and/or lead.
- Provides big picture analysis/recommendations, identifies potential project risks and process improvements, manages scope/scope creep and alignment across other documentation tracks, where applicable.
- The role is a technical writer that is driving documentation needs in collaboration with Project and Development stakeholders, engaging directly and pushing process and deliverables to completion with those stakeholders within a coordinated schedule that aligns to known release dates.
- Analyze user feedback and activity to iterate and improve documentation.
- Discusses and clarifies Technical Communication release requirements.
- Facilitates discussions with multi-disciplinary audiences to gain input on a direction.
- Coaches and mentors junior team members on process and skill development.
- Estimates documentation requirements.
What You’ve Done
- Degree preferred or equivalent years of practical job experience in a similar function or role.
- Minimum of 4+ years of experience in technical communication with products in software, SaaS or Configuration type products in an agile environment.
- Strong portfolio showcasing high-quality technical documentation.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And Behaviors
- Preferred experience in Property and Casualty Insurance industry.
- Experience owning the definition and delivery for larger Technical Communication projects, within a Product Area, and articulates a clear documentation solution.
- Basic HTML, Microsoft SharePoint, Visio and Visual Studio Online/Azure Dev Ops skills.
- Experience with content management systems and version control systems.
- Experience operating and driving multiple documentation tracks concurrently across multiple products.
- Proficiency in creating and maintaining documentation standards and guidelines.
- Experience facilitating discussions with multi-disciplinary audiences to gain input on a direction.
- Experienced with estimating documentation requirements.
- Strong understanding of technical communication principles.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as work independently and take initiative.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret user data and feedback.
- Ability to stay updated with industry trends and best practices.
- Ability to mentor and guide junior technical writers.

Duck Creek Technologies supports a Flex First work environment and employs team members across multiple countries, including Poland. The expected salary range for this position is between PLN 159,300 and PLN 227,500 gross, subject to plan terms and individual eligibility. Actual compensation will be determined based on skills, experience, and location in accordance with applicable Polish law. This position may also be eligible for additional compensation, such as annual bonuses or equity awards. Remote
