Job Title

Technical Care Engineer

Job Description

As a Care Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering high‑quality technical and product support as part of Nokia’s global Care organization. This global 24x7 support position will involve troubleshooting real‑world technical challenges reported by external and internal customers.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve customer‑reported technical issues in line with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Support integration, delivery, and upgrade activities to ensure smooth and reliable services.
  • Handle both regular and emergency cases; collaborate closely with Nokia customer technical teams and internal stakeholders such as R&D, Integration & Delivery engineers, and Customer Service Managers.
  • Provide solutions/workarounds for technical issues within the Nokia Core product family.
  • Implement troubleshooting methods including system‑level tracing, debugging, and protocol flow analysis.
  • Identify, reproduce, and characterize defects; collaborate with R&D teams for fixes and contribute to Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports.
  • Prepare knowledge articles and other technical documents.
  • Develop competencies in products and solutions.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Master/Engineer level in Telecommunications, IT or Electronic Engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of Telecommunication technologies (LTE, 4G, 5G, etc.) and IP/VoIP Networks; familiarity with cloud technologies used in telecom solutions (OpenStack, OpenShift), VNF/CNF.
  • Excellent Linux skills (command line, networking, diagnostics).
  • Fluent spoken and written English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Implementation, Integration, Acceptance Tests, O&M and/or Care for Telecommunication Products.
  • Experience with Protocol Analyzer Tools (Wireshark, etc.) and message flow analysis.
  • Ability to work under stress, strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Willingness to participate in training and skill development.
